INDOOR GREENERY OUTDOOR SPACES
Green oasis for relaxation
The redesign of the Lagoon Water Park Willingen places particular emphasis on atmospheric planting that harmoniously connects architecture and landscape.
Inside, artificial rock walls with integrated planters, lush tropical plants and vertical planting curtains create striking green accents. Generous trailing plants give the halls a soft, vibrant structure, while multi-layered planting schemes create a dense, atmospheric spatial effect and evoke an almost Caribbean mood. The greenery enhances the spatial experience and creates places with a particularly high quality of stay.
The outdoor area is composed of sheltered spaces around the pools and the sauna garden, which reinforces the spatial experience and provides high-quality places to linger. Extensive evergreen bamboo plantings serve as natural screening and shape the calm atmosphere of the sauna area. A spacious sun terrace complements the facilities and invites guests to relax outdoors. Thanks to a combination of evergreen species, distinctive winter structures and staggered flowering periods, the complex remains varied and attractive throughout the year.
The extensive green roofs with pre-grown vegetation mats are integrated into substrate areas and contribute both to the ecological quality and to the harmonious overall appearance of the complex.
